My coffee journey

My coffee journey began unexpectedly in Melbourne, Australia, where a visit to the cozy café Captains of Industry transformed my understanding of coffee. The barista’s meticulous milk steaming technique and the café’s inviting atmosphere ignited a passion that led me to explore Melbourne’s vibrant specialty coffee scene.

Upon returning to Japan, I supported the launch of Cruise Town Coffee Roasters in Chigasaki, Kanagawa. There, I immersed myself in every aspect of the craft: sourcing equipment, establishing direct trade relationships with local farms, refining hand-picking and aging processes, and personally roasting beans to create the perfect cup.

My journey then brought me to Canada, where I helped launch a local café, developed its menu, and began importing specialty coffee beans from trusted Japanese roasters. Each bean is carefully selected through personal tasting sessions and an unwavering commitment to quality, ensuring Canadian coffee enthusiasts experience the dedication and craftsmanship behind every cup.

Today, my mission is to bridge Japan and Canada through exceptional coffee, celebrating the stories and people behind each brew.
